PELITA DAILY — An embarrassing incident for Indonesian football following the match between the Indonesian national team vs the Thai national team at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Jakarta.

The incident involved the intercepting of a bus carrying a Thai player who was pelted with stones by a group of Indonesian fans, causing the Thai Football Federation (FAT) to take issue.

The Football Federation of Thailand then followed up by officially reporting Indonesia to AFF regarding the incident of throwing a bus at Thai players and the seizure of the flag by Thai fans at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium some time ago.

FAT Secretary General Patit Suphaphong confirmed this follow-up by sending evidence in the form of photos and videos to AFF.

“The association has sent a lot of evidence to the competition organizers. This means that the association has informed Indonesia to assist with the investigation,” said Patit, quoted by the Main Stand, Saturday (31/12/2022).

So Indonesian fans must be sporting football spectators without taking anarchic actions towards guests in Indonesia. ●Red/Ri
