PELITA DAILY — South Korean coach Shin Tae-yong apologized to the Indonesian football community for the defeat of the Indonesian national team against the Vietnam national team.

The Indonesian national team also failed to advance to the 2022 AFF Cup final which he said was very unfortunate.

Shin Tae-yong said this during a press conference after the match between Indonesia and Vietnam which ended 0-2 at My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi, Monday (9/1/2023) evening WIB.

Previously, the Vietnam National Team vs Indonesian National Team match in the second leg of the 2022 AFF Cup semi-finals ended 2-0.

The Red and White team lost 0-2 on aggregate after only playing 0-0 in the first leg on Friday (6/1/2023) in Jakarta. Shin Tae-yong’s face implied that he would resign after the Indonesian national team lost to the Vietnam national team.

“Depending on PSSI’s decision,” said one administrator.

The two goals nested against Nadeo Argawinata were bought up by Nguyen Tien Linh (3′, 47′).

In practice, this result made the hopes of the Indonesian National Team to move on to the final of the 2022 AFF Cup have to be dashed.
